JFA Team Departure

Over the last few months, I have been reviewing the JFA structure. During this review it has become evident that the Melbourne based role of National Administrator will no longer be required. Regrettably this means that Dennis Iverson will be leaving his employment with the JFA on 30 June 2015.

Dennis has been the JFA National Administrator for over 12 months and in that time, has made a significant contribution to the administration of the sport and enabled the continuation of our key HP camps and competitions. Prior to taking up the National Administrator role, Dennis was our National Development Coach/Co-ordinator. He has also taken on National Coaching duties throughout his time with the JFA and, last year, was Chair of the National Coaching Committee. Given the breadth of the roles he has had, he is known to the whole judo community and many have strong relationships with him.

On behalf of the Board and JFA team, I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his contribution and dedication to the JFA.

Over the coming couple of months, Dennis will be transitioning some of his responsibilities to Cathy Potter, our part time Office Administrator based in Canberra. He will also be preparing for the next phase of his career.

Dennis is passionate about judo and will continue to be involved in the judo community through his personal coaching commitments and as part of the current National Coaching group.

Please join me in wishing Dennis all the best for the future.
