The High Performance team of the JFA is committed to provide resources to our athletes and their coaches who wish to embark on the pathway of becoming an elite judo competitor. It is vital for a judo athlete to develop high level of aerobic conditioning in order to achieve international competition success. With this in mind have added one more document to our Athlete Development series to be used by our developing athletes who don’t have access to a strength and conditioning coach.
Aerobic Conditioning for Judo has been created by three experienced exercise scientists working alongside the JFA. It has some general recommendations as well example conditioning programs that can be used for different phases of preparation. If you have any questions about this program or the Strength and Conditioning program please contact Maria Pekli, Technical Director.
