TWO EVENTS & A CAMP: APPLY NOW TO JOIN THE 2025 CADET & JUNIOR ASIAN TOUR 

Hong Kong Asian Cup & Macau Asian Cup: July 19-27 2025

​​​Cadet and Junior athletes looking to extend their competition experience can apply now to join Judo Australia's 2025 Cadet & Junior Asian Tour.

​

Judoka will contest two key Asian events: the Hong Kong Asian Cup taking place from 19-20 of July, and the Macau Asian Cup the following weekend, 26-27 July.   An international training camp will take place in between the two.  

​

With flights and accommodation, the total cost to athletes is estimated to be around $3,200 to $3,500 depending on the departure city.

 

Athletes who are on the Cadet and Junior Development Squad will receive $1,000 towards their cost. Other athletes are required to self-fund their participation in this event. 

​

The closing date to express interest for this event is Friday, 6 June 2025.  Selections will be made by Wednesday,  11 June 2025. 

 

To be eligible to attend the Hong Kong and Macau Cadet and Junior Asian Cups on behalf of Australia,  athletes must meet the following requirements:

​

  • be an Australian citizen and hold a current Australian passport or have special permission from the IJF to represent Australia;

  • have won at least three (3) medals at National Event Series events (or a higher level) since (and including) the 2024 National Championships 

  • not have any outstanding debt with Judo Australia or CombatAUS; 

  • have a history of supporting national competitions, camps and tours;     

  • have signed the current JA Team Member Agreement;

  • have not by their actions or omissions brought themselves, JA, CombatAUS, or the Team into disrepute or censure;

  • be at least 2 kyu, blue belt; and

  • be a financial member of Judo Australia

  • hold a valid IJF ID Card.

 

Entries, accommodation and flight bookings will be completed by Judo Australia, with families invoiced for costs once finalised.  All invoices must be paid prior to departure.
