HONG KONG ASIAN JUDO OPEN

November 9-10, 2024

The Australian Senior National Team will contest the Hong Kong Asian Judo Open on November 9-10, and Judo Australia is now accepting Expressions of Interest from eligible athletes keen to fight this event.

​

EOIs are welcome from senior and final year junior athletes who are not currently categorised or part of the National Performance Centre program.  â€‹Successful applicants will self-fund, but will travel and train with the National team, and be supported by one of the Senior National Coaches for this IJF-ranking event. 

​

Other requirements for eligibility include that you be an Australian citizen and hold a current Australian passport; be in the top three on the Senior National Points Table and have won a medal at the 2023 National Championships or the 2024 National Event Series, and be a financial member of, and in good standing with, Judo Australia and the Combat Institute of Australia.  You must also hold an up-to-date IJF Membership and card.

Athletes selected to fight this event will need to organise their own flights, with Tournament Entry and Official Accommodation for the event organised by Judo Australia.

​

​The closing date to submit Expressions of Interest for this event is Friday, October 4, 2024.
