NATIONAL CLUB TEAMS COMPETITION

BENDIGO, VICTORIA, OCTOBER 18-20, 2024

Australian judoka will embody the spirit of Judo in an exciting weekend of grassroots judo action in Bendigo this October: the inaugural National Club Teams Competition.

The Club Teams competition will see male and female judoka compete as a team, each representing a different weight category in an exciting format that showcases team spirit and the core values of judo.

Teams events grant judoka the opportunity to give competition a go in the most supportive, fun environment possible.  They also encourage clubs to develop their female talent in order to be able to field a team.

Friendly interclub rivalry will drive the excitement for the day as different clubs and regions from around Australia face off through their teams of judoka.

The honour of representing your club is one everyone can embrace, not just high level athletes, and the spectacle of judoka from around the country battling it out for club honours will make the action doubly riveting for spectators.

At core, teams judo is about teamwork, leadership and developing the self-confidence of less experienced players, as everyone pitches it towards the common goal. Co-operation and mutual support becomes more important than ever, an object lesson in the Judo Values guiding us towards a stronger, fairer, more inclusive sport.

Judoka: go forth and live your code!
