Judo Australia Announces the Cancellation of the 2022 Futures Camp

After careful consideration regarding the health and safety of all prospective attendees – Judo Australia has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2022 Futures Camp scheduled for the 20th to 23rd of January in Canberra.

“We know this is very disappointing news and it isn’t a decision we wanted to make,” said Emma Taylor, Judo Australia CEO. “However, the current COVID situation across the country is presenting too high a risk to guarantee and manage the health and safety of the athletes and coaches attending the Camp.”

All camp registration refunds will be processed over the next few days.

Judo Australia would like to acknowledge the time and effort invested by our camp organisers, Anna Rasmussen, Marcelo Cabezas and Maria Pekli. Your commitment to this year’s camp has been greatly appreciated.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to all who were committed to attending this year’s event.

Although this cancellation means another missed opportunity to further develop your judo skills, Judo Australia will now explore other ways we can engage with the community, including potentially hosting similar events later in the year.
