Judo Australia is seeking to develop our Natioanl Para Pathways Program as we move #onestepcloser to judo supremacy at the Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2032.
We are seeking an accomplished coach and program leader who must have experience as an athlete and/or coach in Para Judo at the national and international level.
As Program Lead for Para Pathways, the successful applicant will be tasked with recruiting, developing and managing vision-impaired judo athletes towards podium success.
Working closely with Maria Pekli, Judo Australia’s General Manager of Performance and Pathways, you will be building this important program from the ground up. As well as high-level knowledge of the sport of Paralympic Judo, you will need expertise in strategic planning, talent identification and development, and day-to-day athlete management.
The successful applicant will be liaising with not only the athletes, but also key stakeholders such as Paralympic Australia and Blind Sports Australia.
Currently funded at 10 hours per week, this initially part-time role/professional services agreement could be expected to expand with our roster of athletes and increased para funding as we move closer to 2032.
Please direct your resume and cover letter to Maria Pekli: maria.pekli@ausjudo.com.au.
Your cover letter should outline your judo career and specific Para Judo experience, and detail coaching qualifications. All applicants must hold a Working With Children check (or your state’s equivalent.)
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and be ready to launch this program in early 2024.
