After a year of disruption and minimal competition, we are hopeful of a strong and competitive 2021 on the mat, while navigating the ever-changing COVID regulations.
With this in mind, please see an Addendum to the JA National Points System (January 2021) which outlines the decision regarding National Points being available at JA Events in 2021. This is to reflect the ongoing changes to COVID border restrictions throughout Australia.
National points are only one factor in the selection of athletes. National Selection also considers:
JA Categorisation;
Athlete’s history of prior performances; and
Athlete’s potential for future success.
While points may not be at available at all JA events this year, athletes not confined by border restrictions are encouraged to demonstrate their commitment to National selection by attending events which encourage and support their athletic development.
