2024 VETERANS & KATA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Las Vegas, USA -  November 4-11 2024

The backbone of the Judo world - our Veterans - will join with Kata competitors to showcase the art and sport of Judo in Las Vegas this coming November.

​

USA Judo is hosting a week of top-shelf international judo, with the 2024 Veterans and Kata World Championships, from November 4-11.

​

The combined event will attract competitors from around the world to Las Vegas, with EOIs now open for athletes who wish to represent Australia in the Veterans and Kata divisions.

​

​To represent Australia, players must be an Australian citizen with a current Australian passport, hold a valid IJF ID Card, and be financial member of Judo Australia/its affiliates and be in good standing with JA and the Combat Institute of Australia.

​

Kata competitors will undergo a selection process, with full details available from the EOI form:  KATA (closes July 22).  Enquiries can be directed to the Kata Selection Committee chair, Ernie Wakamatsu (etwakaoz@gmail.com).

 

To compete as a Veteran, you must self-nominate to Judo Australia via this form: VETERANS

The Veteran and Kata World Championships is a self-funded event and athletes will need to book and pay for their own flights.  Tournament entry and official accommodation must be booked via Judo Australia, with all costs invoiced to the athlete and payment required before departure.
